About the program...Jefferson has three concert ensembles: the 6th Grade Concert Band, the 7th Grade Symphonic Band, and the 8th Grade Wind Ensemble. In addition to its curricular ensembles, Jefferson also offers a very active jazz band program. The Jazz Band is open to all band members for all instruments and does not require an audition. The Jazz Ensemble has a traditional jazz instrumentation. An audition is required to participate in the Jazz Ensemble and is open to 7th and 8th grade band members. Band members may earn special awards for performing major scales and the IMEA scale sheet. |
