document.write('<tr><td align=left valign=top width="300"><center><BR><H3><u>About the instructor...</u></H3></center><font size="2"><b>Jerry Zitko</b><p>Mr. Jerry Zitko has taught orchestra in the District #203 schools since graduating from DePaul University with a Bachelor\'s Degree in Music Education in 1983. He received his Master\'s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from North Central College in 1998. Mr. Zitko is a 1999 nominee for the prestigious Golden Apple Award and is listed in the 2005-2006 Who\'s Who Among American Teachers.  In the summers of 2008 and 2010, Mr. Zitko served on the staff of the Illinois Ambassadors of Music European Concert tour where he had the opportunity to conduct and perform with high school and college students from all across Illinois in seven European countries. Mr. Zitko is a member of the American String Teachers Association and has been active in the DePaul University School of Music Alumni Association. He remains active as a violinist in the Chicago area.</p><p>Mr. Zitko currently teaches orchestra students at three District #203 schools: Madison Junior High, Scott Elementary, and River Woods Elementary. He also directs the Bluegrass Strings group at Madison.</p><BR><BR></font> </td><td align=left valign=top cellpadding=5 width="300"><center><BR><H3><u>About the program...</u></H3></center><font size="2"><p>Directed by Mr. Jerry Zitko, the Scott Orchestra Program consists of a weekly small group lesson and an orchestra rehearsal. Small group lessons focus on developing note reading and technical skills, while the orchestra rehearsal provides an opportunity to apply these skills to the preparation of music for performance. <br/>In addition to participating in their school orchestra, advanced string players also have the opportunity to audition for the district-wide Honor Strings Orchestra. </p><p>Orchestra meets at Scott School on Tuesdays during the school day.</p></font> </td></tr>')
